You will find the ‘Wake on LAN’ button under the ‘Manage this device’ section. To use the ‘Wake on LAN’ option on your Fing App with a device that is connected to the same network, select the specific device from the ‘Devices’ tab. Keep in mind that this feature is only available on supported devices and that you need to enable the proper option in the power management section of your BIOS. The Wake on LAN message must be sent from a device connected to a network. The Wake on LAN button allows you to send a signal (called “magic packet”) to turn on a specific device either in your local or remote network.
With the Wake on LAN (WoL) feature of the Fing app you can “wake up” from afar a device that is sleeping, hibernating or powered off.
